What I Packed for a Weekend in Lisbon

Lisbon is hills, tiles and long dinners. Comfortable shoes are not optional, and neither is a layer for the evening breeze off the river.

• One black slip dress
• Straight-leg jeans
• A camel cardigan for the evenings
• Gold hoops that go with everything
• Flat sandals with actual grip
• One silk scarf, for the hair and the tram

Seven pieces, seven outfits, one carry-on. The trick is that everything goes with everything, so the only decision each morning is which shirt.
